THE LEWISBORO LIBRARY IS OPERATING OUT OF TEMPORARY
QUARTERS IN THE SOUTH SALEM PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The library began construction on its long-awaited expansion project on April 2, 2014. The building project is expected to take eight to twelve months to complete. Our temporary location is at the South Salem Presbyterian Church, located at 111 Spring Street in South Salem. Be sure to visit us to attend programs, use the computers and WiFi, browse our revolving collection of materials and pick up items ordered through the library system. The Friends of the Lewisboro Library is looking for more members. The Friends, who meet once a month, provide and encourage volunteer services from the community and supplement financial support for library programs and services. Any questions can be directed to: FriendsLewLib@gmail.com.
Free Book & Music Downloads
The Library has free eBooks, audiobooks and music available for download onto your computer and digital devices. Click on the Digital Media Catalog tab above for access to the Westchester Library System's list of audiobook and eBook providers. Click on the Freegal Music Service tab above for access to the Sony Music catalog. You must enter your library card number and PIN. If you have fines of $25 or more, your card will not be able to access these services.
The Westchester Library System has many helpful databases that patrons may access free of charge from home using their library card. There are databases to help with investing, learning a new language, career advice and more. The databases can be reached via the Online Resources link above.
Library Email Newsletter
The Library has a monthly email newsletter to keep patrons informed of upcoming programs. To sign up for the service, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wireless Internet Access
Wireless Internet access is available at the library to use with your own wireless-enabled laptop or pda. In order to connect, your computer must have a WiFi-compatible network card installed (802.11b or 802.11g). We also recommend a charged battery, as electrical outlets are limited. Wireless users agree to abide by the library policy on wireless use of the Internet. A copy of this policy can be found at the Circulation Desk.
